Piet Mondrian was Dutch abstract painter and is considered one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. He was founding member of the De Stijl art movement, which was based on the reductive theory which rejects the physically perceived as a subject. His art style influenced Bauhaus and modern art and his use of bold primary colours and clean lines is still hugely influential in interior and graphic design today.
