These wonderful abstract pieces were created by Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky and is considered to one of the pioneers of modern abstract art. Kandinsky’s style evolved throughout his career from a more fluid style to a more pictorial and geographic style. He founded the Der Blaue Reiter in 1911, which became an influential movement in Munich. Kandinsky went on to teach at Bauhaus in 1921, which brought together some of the most famous Bauhaus artists. Both Bauhaus and Kandinsky are still highly influential in art and design today.
