Paul Klee was a Swiss-German artist and a celebrated teacher at the Bauhaus. Seen as one of the father of Abstract Art, Klee was highly influenced by Cubism and Surrealism. He was involved in Der Blaue Reiter group and he best know for his use of colour, minimalist elements, abstract forms and symbols drawn from poetry, music, and literature as well as his imagination and the world around him. His work went on to influence artists and designers such as Dali and Rothko.
